Hwan left home at 16 to chase professional table tennis in Europe, leaving school behind for the grind. He's proven himself again at every level since: state, national, international, Olympic.
Born in Australia to Korean parents, he now trains full-time in Seoul. He's a member of the Australian Senior National Team, a Paris 2024 Olympian, and carries a career-high world ranking of No. 35. His Korean-Australian identity is a strength, not a footnote.
